Our First Virtual National Healing While Black Summit!
Healing While Black has gone VIRTUAL! We are excited to announce that no cost (donation based) registration is now open for HWB 2020, a Virtual Event, taking place July 31st – August 1st . We will begin promptly at 8:46 am each morning.
We prioritize Safety and Access. We are encouraging mass registration to the Summit (valued at $500).
We are requesting individuals and organizations to join our mailing list, contribute based on your ability, and/or invite others to the summit. We ask for your partnership to support The Well’s work in Health Promotion, Training and Development, Clinical Services and Advocacy efforts.
This high-quality and deeply impactful experience will allow engage individuals in: critical dialogue (research & reflective experiences), policy (funding and organization principles); practice (treatment/wellness approaches), and healing (participate in wellness and inspirational activities).

Plenary with Rhonda Magee, Professor of Law, University of San Francisco, presenting “Your [Black] Life Matters: Mindfulness and the Personal Practices of Justice. This inspiring session will focus on the political, social, and individual practices that support wellness, particularly in Black Communities.
Panels: The Abundant Community: Structural Violence and Constructing Resilience with Dr. Evelyn Newman Phillips, Professor of Anthropology, Dr. Sylvia Jalil-Gutierrez and Dr. Wangari Gichiru, Central Connecticut State University
